Duties include:
- Clear policy circulation,
- Awareness programs and training,
- Confidential complaint handling,
- Timely enquiry and reasoned reports,
- Recommendations on action and support for victim.
Failure se department ko vicarious liability, court strictures, aur reputation loss face karna pad sakta hai. Victimko parallel routes – grievance authorities, courts, human rights bodies – bhi available hote hain.
Senior officers ke liye message simple hai: “boys will be boys” attitude legally dangerous hai. Culture safe banana bhi duty ka hissa hai.
